Role Overview – Digital Marketing Specialist – Denver Metro Area

Planet Media is seeking a Denver-based Digital Marketing Specialist (Contract) to support the execution of digital marketing initiatives across a portfolio of mission-driven clients. This is a flexible, part-time role ideal for an independent contractor who can manage multiple projects, execute efficiently, and deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Execution

  • Plan, launch, and optimize digital campaigns across LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Ads, and email
  • Manage timelines and deliverables across multiple client accounts

Content & Messaging

  • Write and edit clear, compelling content for social media, email, and websites
  • Translate sustainability and impact-focused topics into engaging, accessible messaging

Social Media Management

  • Own day-to-day posting, scheduling, and engagement
  • Identify growth opportunities and stay ahead of platform trends

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track performance and provide monthly reporting with actionable insights
  • Continuously optimize campaigns based on data

Website & SEO Support

  • Assist with website updates (WordPress or similar CMS)
  • Support SEO efforts, including keyword research and content optimization

Client Collaboration

  • Communicate with the internal team and occasionally with clients to ensure alignment and progress
  • Contribute to marketing strategy discussions as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • Based in Denver, CO (must be based in the Denver metro area)
  • 2–5 years of digital marketing experience
  • Proven ability to manage campaigns independently
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience with social media management and paid media platforms
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.)

Preferred

  • Experience with sustainability, climate, or mission-driven organizations
  • Email marketing experience (Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.)
  • SEO knowledge
  • Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.)
  • Contract Details
  • Part-time
  • 1099 independent contractor role
  • Hourly or project-based compensation (commensurate with experience)
  • Must be able to work during Mountain Time business hours as needed
