A free website for nonprofits, designed and built by a professional agency, usually comes with a catch. This one does not. Every month we choose one nonprofit and build it a complete website. Free. Start to finish.
The first selection was Education Elevated, a Colorado 501(c)(3) that funds a school in Nepal, where trekking teams raise support for every vertical foot they climb. Its new site is live.
Why we are doing this
Most of the work we are proudest of has been for nonprofits: certification networks, conservation groups, climate organizations, community missions. And in every one of those projects we saw the same thing: organizations doing extraordinary work behind websites that undersell it, because every dollar they have rightly goes to the mission first.
We can argue with that math once a month. So we will.
How it works
Nominate a nonprofit: your own, or one whose work you believe in. It takes one minute, and self-nominations are not just allowed, they are most of what we expect. Each month we choose one organization and build its website with the same senior team that builds everything else we ship. The selection is announced at the start of each month, and the nominator hears it first.
Every nomination stays in the pool for future months, so an organization that is not chosen this month is still in the running next month.
Nominate a nonprofit
The form is here: a free website for a nonprofit, every month. A name, a website if it has one, and two lines about the work.
If you want to see how we think about marketing for missions in general, that lives on our nonprofit marketing page. And if you work with a nonprofit and want a fast, honest read on its website today, run it through WouldTheyGive, our free trust score built for exactly this sector.
What a free website for nonprofits usually means, and what it means here
Search for a free website for nonprofits and you mostly find three things: website builders offering a discounted plan you still pay for, template galleries you assemble yourself, and grant programs with long applications and longer waits. All useful, none of them the same as a professional team building the site for you.
This program is the third thing. The organization we choose gets the same senior team, the same process and the same standards as a paying client: strategy, design, build, accessibility, and a site the team can update afterwards without calling anybody. What it costs the organization is nothing.
Why an agency gives away a website
Two honest reasons. The first is that nonprofit work is most of what we are proudest of, and we keep meeting organizations doing extraordinary work behind websites that undersell it, because every dollar rightly goes to the mission first. Once a month, we can argue with that math.
The second is that the work becomes a published case study, with the before and after, and the organization shares its honest experience of working with us. That is the whole exchange, and it is written down rather than implied.
What is included
- A complete website: strategy, design, build and launch, not a template handed over.
- A donation or signup path that works on a phone, where most giving happens.
- Accessibility to WCAG standards, because a nonprofit audience includes everyone.
- SEO foundations so the site can be found: titles, structured data, redirects from the old pages.
- A written handoff guide, so the team updates content on its own afterwards.
Scope is confirmed in writing with the selected organization before anything starts, and anything beyond it is quoted normally. The domain, the hosting and everything we build stay in the organization’s own accounts.
Frequently asked questions
Who can be nominated?
Any nonprofit or mission-driven organization. Size does not matter; the reality of the mission does. Self-nominations are welcome and expected.
What does the selected organization get?
A complete website, designed and built by our senior team, start to finish, at no cost. We confirm the scope together with the selected organization before we start, in writing, so both sides know exactly what is being built.
What happens after I nominate?
You get a confirmation right away. Selections are announced at the start of each month, and if your organization is chosen, you hear it from us first. Nominations that are not selected stay in the pool for future months automatically.
Are there really free websites for nonprofits?
Yes, in three different shapes: discounted builder plans, free templates you assemble yourself, and programs like this one where an agency designs and builds the site at no cost. The difference is who does the work. Read the terms of any offer carefully: the common catch is hosting locked to the provider, which is why everything we build stays in the organization’s own accounts.
How do I get a free website for my nonprofit?
Nominate the organization through the form on our program page. It takes one minute: the name, the current website if there is one, and two lines about the work. There is no application to write and no deadline to miss, because nominations that are not chosen stay in the pool for the months that follow.
The selections
One entry per month: the organization, what was built, and the website before and after.
August 2026: Education Elevated
A Colorado nonprofit that has funded the school in Chyangba Village, Nepal, since 2007. Its trekking teams raise support for every vertical foot they climb, and that model was nowhere to be found on the old site. The rebuild puts it in the first screen, makes nineteen years of projects and photographs browsable, and leaves room for an emergency appeal when one is needed.

Read the full case study, see it live at educationelevated.org, or nominate a nonprofit for a future month.
How to apply
There is no application to write and no deadline to miss. Nominate an organization through the form on the program page: the name, the current website if there is one, and two lines about the work. It takes about a minute.
You can nominate your own organization or one whose work you think deserves to be seen. Nominations that are not chosen stay in the pool for the months that follow, so nobody has to start over.
