What we do
Brand Strategy & Positioning
Most sustainable brands sound the same. They talk about purpose, impact and conscious consumers using identical language pulled from the same playbook. Conscious buyers can smell that generic positioning from a mile away, and your competitors are saying the exact same things.
Our brand strategy process starts with deep research. We interview your founders, customers, employees and even your competitors. We study category conventions to understand what every brand in your space is already saying, then identify the white space where your story can stand out. We also analyze your buyers in detail, including their values, fears, jobs to be done and the brands they already trust.
From this research we build your positioning framework. This includes your category definition, your differentiated promise, your proof points and your unique point of view on sustainability. We document everything in a positioning playbook that becomes the source of truth for every future marketing decision, including the website experience we build and the digital marketing campaigns we run.
| Phase | What We Do | Deliverable | Timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Discovery | Founder interviews, customer research, market analysis | Insights report | Week 1 to 2 |
| Strategy | Positioning, messaging pillars, competitive map | Brand strategy playbook | Week 3 to 4 |
| Identity | Logo, colors, typography, visual system | Visual identity package | Week 5 to 7 |
| Voice | Tone of voice, copywriting framework, messaging hierarchy | Brand voice guide | Week 6 to 7 |
| Activation | Templates, collateral, launch campaign assets | Brand launch kit | Week 8 to 10 |
Visual Identity & Design Systems
A logo is not a brand. A brand is the entire visual experience your audience encounters across hundreds of touchpoints, from your website to your packaging to your investor decks. We design complete visual systems engineered to stay consistent at scale, no matter who is creating the next deliverable.
Our identity work starts with mood boards and design exploration. We present 3 distinct visual directions, each anchored in your strategy and aimed at a different aspect of your story. You choose the direction that feels right, then we refine through 2 rounds of revisions until the final identity feels uniquely yours and aligns with your website design approach.
The deliverables include your primary logo, secondary logos and submarks, a complete color palette with hex, RGB, CMYK and pantone codes, a typographic system with web and print fonts, iconography style guides, photography direction and illustration principles. Every element has clear usage rules that protect the brand as your team grows.
We also build a comprehensive brand guidelines document. This 40 to 60 page playbook covers logo usage, do and don’t examples, layout principles, accessibility considerations and real world application across every channel including digital marketing campaigns. New designers, agencies and team members can onboard to your brand within hours instead of months.
For sustainable brands specifically, we also document your impact storytelling visuals. This includes how you communicate metrics, certifications, supply chain transparency and impact reports in a way that feels authentic, not performative. Your visual identity becomes evidence of your commitment, not decoration.
Brand Voice & Activation
A strong identity dies fast without a strong voice. We build voice systems that codify how your brand sounds across every channel, from a customer support email to a TEDx talk. The result is consistent personality and clear messaging that compounds over time.
Our voice work starts with personality mapping. We identify 4 to 6 character traits your brand embodies, for example confident not arrogant, warm not casual, expert not academic. We document each trait with do and don’t examples, then build sample copy across formats including a tweet, a sales email, an apology letter, a homepage hero and a product description.
We create messaging hierarchies for your most important audiences. Each audience receives a tailored value proposition, key benefits, common objections with responses, proof points and a call to action. Your sales team and marketing team finally speak the same language because they pull from the same source of truth.
Finally, we activate the brand. This includes designing launch campaigns across social media, email and PR. We produce templates for the most used assets including pitch decks, one pagers, social graphics, email signatures, business cards and packaging mockups. Some clients also receive a complete website rebuild as part of activation, which we deliver through our web design service.
We follow up 90 days post launch with a brand health audit. We measure brand consistency across published assets, identify training gaps in your team and recommend the next round of evolution. Branding is never done. It is a system that grows with your business, and we are there as long as you need us.
A specialized branding agency builds the strategic, visual and verbal systems that communicate your sustainability mission authentically. We define positioning, design identities, write voice guides and create launch assets, all calibrated to earn trust from conscious buyers who are skeptical of greenwashing.
Most full branding projects take 6 to 10 weeks from kickoff to launch. Discovery and strategy take 2 to 3 weeks, visual identity takes 3 to 4 weeks and activation takes 1 to 2 weeks. Rush timelines of 4 to 5 weeks are possible for early stage startups with simpler scope.
A logo is one visual element. A brand identity is the complete system that includes your logo, color palette, typography, photography style, voice, messaging and usage guidelines. A logo alone cannot communicate your brand consistently across every channel.
Yes. Conscious buyers research your supply chain, certifications and founder story before they purchase. Your branding needs to provide evidence of impact rather than just claims, and to differentiate you from companies engaging in greenwashing. Strategic, visual and verbal nuance matters far more than for traditional consumer brands.
We focus on specificity and proof. Instead of vague claims like we are sustainable, we help you communicate measurable metrics, third party certifications, supply chain transparency and honest tradeoffs. Authentic storytelling backed by data is the antidote to greenwashing.
A full rebrand is rarely necessary. Most established B Corps benefit from a brand refresh that updates strategy, sharpens messaging and refines visual elements without abandoning brand equity. We assess where you are first, then recommend the smallest effective intervention.
We track brand awareness, brand recall, share of voice on social media, organic traffic for branded search terms and conversion rate lift on key landing pages. Strong branding also reduces customer acquisition cost over time as referrals and unaided recall grow.
