Project Description
Girl Scouts of the United States of America, commonly referred to as simply Girl Scouts, is a youth organization for girls in the United States and American girls living abroad. At Girl Scouts, young girls prepare for a lifetime of leadership, success, and adventure in a safe, no-limits place designed for and by girls! The idea is to learn by doing, and at Girl Scouts, girls do just that.
The team at Planet Media set out to grasp the core message of the Girl Scouts persona and convey it in a meaningful, powerful way. Our team’s experience allowed us to provide a website design that invites girls and their families to explore what’s possible-resulting in a seamless, empowering brand. Planet Media’s goal was to create a website that performed beyond their expectations.
Project Requirements
- Create a world-class, attention-getting website that was representative of the Girl Scouts mission, target audience, and long- term marketing and strategic organizational objectives.
- Develop a website that communicates their commitment to bringing the Girl Scout leadership experience to every young girl’s life, where activities are led by the girls themselves and feature cooperative learning, and highlight learning by doing.
- Design a website that educates the public about the Girl Scout’s mission to prepare girls for a lifetime of leadership, success, and adventure in a safe, no-limits place designed for and by girls!
Project Results
We created a world-class, attention-getting website that was representative of the Girl Scouts mission, target audience, and long- term marketing and strategic organizational objectives.
The project deliverables included brand integration, personas, wireframes, site maps, flowcharts, UX/UI design, WordPress development, search engine optimization, usability, and website testing.
